Native to Bolivia and Argentina, this deciduous tree can reach between 10-25m in height and up to 20m in canopy width.
It tolerates sporadic frosts, with a temperature range from -4ºC to 35ºC.
It requires regular and moderate watering, although once established, it can withstand periods of drought.
It blooms from May to July with yellow-orange inflorescences.
Its fruit appears from July to August, it is a winged seed that will be dispersed by the wind in winter.
