Its origin lies in a spontaneous hybridization in the Caribbean in the 17th century.
It is an evergreen tree, between 5-6 m in height, with a rounded crown and sparse branches.
It does not tolerate cold; below 0ºC it suffers damage and can withstand more than 30ºC.
Moderate watering, without waterlogging, but maintaining moisture.
Blooming occurs in March-April, with fragrant flowers, and its fruit is harvested during the autumn-winter.
