It is native to South Asia, an evergreen tree reaching 7-8 m, strongly spined.
Its temperature range goes from -12ºC to 30ºC.
Regular watering without waterlogging.
Blooms between March and May, although it can bloom throughout the year.
Fragrant flowers, widely used as a street alignment tree and as rootstock due to its hardiness.
Its fruit is harvested in September/October to make jams and liqueurs.
