Livistona Mariae

Native to Australia, it can reach up to 25m, its trunk is unique with a bulbous base, and its leaves are crimson red in its youth, although they later turn green.

It withstands a minimum of -6ºC and up to 38ºC.

It does not tolerate waterlogging and is drought-resistant, benefiting from adjusted watering.

Flowering occurs in hermaphroditic inflorescences between spring/summer.

Its fruit matures in winter and is edible, although it is astringent with a taste similar to apple, its stone contains an edible "nut" inside.
