Strelitzia Reginae

This herbaceous plant is native to South Africa.

Perennial, slow-growing, long-lived, and resistant like Strelitzia Augusta.

Its roots are rhizomes that have the ability to store nutrients as a reservoir for difficult times.

It has a bushy habit, can reach up to 1.5m in height, and forms dense clumps.

Its temperature range would be between 5ºC and 38ºC, being able to withstand light and short frosts.

Moderate watering, without waterlogging, as too much water can damage the rhizomes.

Its flowering is very striking with large flowers in shades of orange or yellow combined with blue; they are a beauty that, requiring very low maintenance, create a very exotic effect, which, if the climate is suitable, can extend from spring to autumn.
